The sad circle of Craddock Moor lies1km NW
of The Hurlers on Bodmin Moor. Time has ravaged this circle with a vengeance, not
one of its stones remains standing today. We counted 15 fallen stones of fine
grained grey granite lying
on the circumference, although there were several suspicious turf covered
"bumps" that could easily have been buried stones.
The remains of a large settlement lie a kilometre to the NW, and about 200m ENE
of the circle is a low circular tumulus, rising only inches above the
surrounding moor.
One for the diehard megalithic fan only.
