Ballvackey stands on flat pasture about 100m from the Fealge river and just across the R599 from the hill that gave the circle its name. A multi-stone circle, we counted seven stones standing on our visit, the original count was probably eleven. Stone height ranges from 0.9m to1.5m, the circle is poorly graded. A radially placed stone stands at the ENE, this is probably the southern portal stone, but it is not very tall. Across the circle from the portal is a wide, flat-topped stone at the WSW, this is much whiter than any of the other stones, and is probably the axial stone.
