Looking over lintel stone from the west.
The surviving stones of the outer compartment stand behind the lintel to the
east. Unbelievably, trees had been allowed to grow in several places
on the monument, they had been felled before our visit but their stumps were
evident. These were not saplings as the large diameter of the stump
situated in the inner compartment above shows.
