These can be viewed with the naked eye, but as with our parallel viewing, the
technique takes a little getting used to.

The heavily cupmarked south western circle
stone.
The most heavily decorated stone at Balquhain, the SW stone is aligned on the
minor moonset.
The recumbent and flankers from the west with the large white quartz outlier standing far right.

Another stone with rock art, the upper face bears four cupmarks.
The fallen circle stone at the ESE, the end at the far left was probably the top when this stone was erect.

Unfortunately the vegetation in the the circle was quite a problem, obscuring
many details, we found ourselves envying
the pasture setting enjoyed by the antiquarian visitors
