Camster Long

The southern facade.
The brevity of the southern wall face above the platform is very evident in this photo, at only 4.8m long it completely
fails to meet the cairn side-walls. The wall is presently 1.4m high, but this is almost all restoration as it was found
to be only 0.6m high in Master's excavation in 1976. The small plaque fixed to the wall is a testament to this reconstruction,
although with so much of the present cairn being "restoration" it seems odd to comment only on this small feature.
One other interesting feature are the slabs located at the very tip of each horn of the forecourt, both of these stones are
noticeably tilted up and outwards, this feature is present on the excavation photos and  Masters believed it to be original.
