Northern chamber passage.
This photo is taken from between the portal stones to the passage of the
original round cairn, the northern portal stone can be seen far right, angled
at 40 degrees to the passage sidewalls. The passage through the round cairn from
the portal stone is all modern reconstruction, the original walls could not
be made out in Corcoran's 1971 excavation and Anderson wrote in 1869 that "So
great had been the slide in the mass of the cairn on this side of the cell
that even the passage walls were not distinctly to be made out".
