Surviving erect circle stone.
This is the only standing stone remaining from the ring that originally
encircled the cairn. Standing just under a metre tall it is a slab of
Puddingstone about 45cm thick. The stone has one very flat surface and it has
been set with this facing the cairn. The rubble-filled
space in the foreground would have originally been clear and there would have
been outer kerb stones beneath the taking location.
The rubble seen here is field clearance and fragments of broken circle stones
dumped here, this is NOT a radial extension which is
sometimes seen at other Clava and RSC monuments.
