This is another modern roof of flat-laid slabs, the original was most probably
of edge-laid stones as all of the original roofing in the cairn uses this
technique.
The roof was missing in 1888 and this south compartment was found full of
stones. Although the south and north compartments of the western side cell
have separate roofs, they are both set at 1.67m above the floors, a similar
height to nearly all of the other cells.
