Dwarfie Stane

The Stane viewed from the WSW.
The Stane is 8.3m long and partially buried, it is thought to have been part of the Dwarfie Hamars (which can be seen in the background) and moved here
by ice. Note the domed southern end to the closing stone in the foreground, this is thought to have been caused by chiselling during attempts to enter
when the stone was in place.
