The niche in the southern wall.
This space is almost a metre deep and carefully constructed, suggestions as to function include, an alternative entranceway and passage to a second
chamber, but neither idea has been proved. Note the three large pillars incorporated in the west wall (back right corner), this is the result of quite a bit
 of effort and planning, but its original function is unknown.
