The niche in the eastern wall.
Although shallow compared to its southern neighbour (right), this is a carefully built niche with its own roofing slab. The walling of the passage, visible left,
could have simply been continued across the niche area, it took effort to fashion this niche, so there must have been a purpose for this feature.
