The original outer banking that was once mounded against the faces of the outer
kerb stones survives to quite a height in this arc. Consequently, the kerbs are
buried
for a lot of their height and do not protrude far above. Quite a few kerbs have
also been robbed away so it is difficult to trace the kerb ring in this
quadrant.
