The ledge in the foreground is a mass of bedrock that protrudes into the chamber space, the passage proper begins over the lip of this. The passage is
relatively straight, showing only a little sinuosity. Note that the walls do not corbel in, if anything they slope outwards, roofing is by lintel stones. Much of the
walling in the passage consists of edge laid slabs, something not seen in the chamber itself.
