The inner circle of stones were the kerbs for a flat-topped platform or kerb-cairn.
There was a cist at the
centre of the cairn and this has been dug into and destroyed. All that remains
of the cist today is a
small upright slab that can be seen just right of centre above, the robber pit
depression can still be made out.
