Published figures show 17 of an original 28 stones remaining in this circle. We counted 14 stones standing, plus the "centre" stone, and a total of 30 stones around the circumference, although some of these were quite small. The stones of this circle are thought to have been artificially smoothed by hammering, the broken quartz crystal debris from this process having being strewn over the circle interior. The "central" stone is not at the circle centre, it stands to the SE of that point, with a large fallen stone beside it.
