This area, to the south of the long stone
rows, contains a stone circle, two cairns, a large standing stone and a short
stone row. Because of the slope of the land, the stone rows to the north are not
visible from this area.
The stone circle is comprised of eleven small stones of local granite all under
0.5m high. The spacing of the circle stones is erratic, especially in the south
eastern arc. Nine metres to the east of the circle circumference is a small
outlier showing a radial alignment to the circle. The circle interior does not
seem to show any evidence of a cairn or cist.
A second outlier stands to within a few degrees of due south from the circle
centre, although quite distant, this stone is large and over 3m tall. To the
south of the menhir is a short row of three small stones standing beside a low
cairn. South east of the menhir is a second low cairn which has a large stone
over 2m long lying prostrate beside it, this stone was re-erected in 1895 but
has since fallen once more.
