Le Dehus

Fragment of human skull.

This skull fragment was found in side-chamber B (northern front chamber),
and is from one of two complete skeletons discovered there by Lukis on 11th September 1844.
Strangely, the two skeletons were found kneeling side by side, one facing north, and the other south.
Very little other material from these skeletons exists, Lukis notes that the exposure to the atmosphere
caused extensive changes in the bones so the were quickly re-buried, but they have obviously been
removed since. No record of this later excavation is known.
