Le Dehus

Small cup (Lukis series XCXX).

Heavily damaged, this cup was found alongside the globular cup (Lukis series CXXIX).
Superficially of similar shape, and of a similar coarse gritty buff ware, the walls of this vessel
are much thicker and it is still filled with a caked mixture of earth and limpet shells. Lukis had this to
say of the find "two small drinking cups, one above the other, with the mouths directed southwards,
these being mixed with and surrounded by human bones".
