The three stones making up the portal
trilithon are all original components but the lintel (a roofstone) had fallen
and
was repositioned in 1898. Note how the floor of the tomb is quite
some distance below the modern ground level.
The plaque to the left of the
entrance shows yet another plan of
tomb, this time with five possible side chambers.
