Mnajdra - Temple 2



Clay "pathological" female figure found under the torba of the northern inner apse of Temple 2.

This female figure has greatly emphasized breasts, abdomen and genitalia, on the reverse
the spine is marked by a strip of clay and the ribs depicted by deep incisions.
Although head appears missing, a crude face has been fashioned by simply pinching the
clay in this area between thumb and finger.
Height 5.1cm, currently in the National Museum at Valletta.
