The temple model found at Ta Hagrat.
This little model is carved from
globigerina limestone and was discovered in 1923 during excavations at the
Ta Hagrat Temple at Mgarr conducted by Sir Themistocles Zammit (1). The model
shows the typical
structure of a Maltese temple including the trilithon facade, narrow-broad
walling technique and
upper layers of horizontal corbelling.
