The remains of Cashekeelty West resemble nothing more than a second stone row to accompany the one at the eastern site. The three stones are, in fact, all that remain of an eleven to thirteen stone circle with an estimated diameter of 17m. The loss of the portal stones at the eastern circle seems trivial compared to the devastation visited on this circle.  But what a marvelous megalithic treat two Cashelkeelty sites would have made if they had survived intact to the present day!
