Drombohilly stands on a hillside terrace with marvellous views over the Kenmare river valley. A multi-stone Irish circle, we counted nine stones standing and one fallen, there were obvious gaps at the SSW and NW, suggesting an original stone count of eleven. The fallen stone may have been the axial as it was small and lying inside the circle close to the axial stone's probable position. The portal stones at the NNE are the tallest in the circle at 2m, and are placed radially, there was no trace of a boulder burial. The remains of a field wall run close to the circle and can be seen in the foreground of the photo above..
