The Old Bourtreebush circle viewed from
Auchquhorthies.
The two circles are inter-visible and only 300m apart. The circle stones at Old
Bourtreebush are taller and more massive
than those at Auchquhorthies, but the circle has suffered extensive damage and
is now a ruin. Two of the surviving standing
stones are merged by line of sight in the photo above.
