The site at Cullerlie is well maintained and easily accessible, it consists of an eight stone circle containing eight small kerbed cairns. The site was swamp land in prehistoric times, and the circle was originally constructed on a leveled gravel base. The stones are of red granite and are graded in height to the north. Excavation in 1934 revealed that Willow was burned inside the circle prior to the construction of the cairns. Oak and Hazel charcoal, together with cremated bone deposits were found within the cairns, but under the cairn stone infill.
