Deerpark is unusual in being the only four poster surviving in the heart of the Aberdeenshire recumbent circle territory. Although the circle is small in diameter, the stones are reasonably large, the tallest is at the SE and is 1.6m high, (foreground above photo). The north west stone is missing, the dark object in the background of the above photo is a tree trunk. The circle is hidden away under trees on the south bank of the river Don, it is described on the OS. map as "standing stones".
