Despite the perspective distortion of the ultrawide lens used for this shot, it
is fairly obvious
that if all of the surviving stones were included in the ring, this was not a
circle. The plan of an all -inclusive
symmetrical ring would be very egg-shaped, of course some of the smaller stones
to the east may have been
moved, but even so, a circle arc cannot be drawn through four largest surviving
stones.
