We are just inside the modern door here looking along the 3.65m length of the inner passage, above us the huge weight of the
cairn core is supported by the many edge-set lintels (and modern steel supports!) visible in the roof. The passage is quite snug
 here, only 0.55m wide, although the 0.8m roof height is not so restrictive.  The floor here was not paved, being clay subsoil.
Just visible at the end of the passage is the north-west wall of the main chamber.
