The broken central lintel is visible bottom, next is the inner west lintel and then a replacement slab where the outer west lintel once rested. Turner
(3) describes
how this lintel "crumbled into flakes and had to be removed" during Burroughs excavation, partial remains of the original lintel exist below this slab at the
west and can be viewed from the western end cell of the lower chamber where they comprise part of the roof.
