The eastern cell or "bench" on the north wall of the chamber.
Formed by two of the three vertical slabs in the northern wall of the chamber, the centre slab is on the left and the eastern slab on the right.
Davidson and Henshall
(6) describe the shelf in this cell as being missing, this must have occurred after 1939 as Grant (4) describes and illustrates
all of the benches as present and in place. We can only assume that the one seen in place here is a modern replacement.
An incomplete skeleton was found in this cell.
The internal space of the eastern end cell can be seen far right.
