The interior of the chamber looking SW.
This chamber measures only 1.6 x 1.0m and there is only 0.5m clearance below the
intermediate lintel stone, so access and photography were
both a little difficult! The intermediate lintel can be seen centre shot with
its upright slab support on the left, framing the right side of the opening is
one of
the four vertical slabs set into the chamber walls. Note the strata in the
passage wall behind the lintel, the fine layers of stone form a miniature
"staircase" where the rock has been cut into an incline, the chamber floor is
also naked bedrock.
