Tomnaverie

Tomnaverie recumbent stone circle - 1999

The western flanker 1999.
The stone lies perilously close to the cliff edge with the quarry that has already claimed at least one of the circle stones.
The quarry borders the monument on two adjacent sides, and this stone lies in the corner formed by these drops.
The exposed stone is 2.84m long, once re-sited it will stand 1.9m tall, the upper face here will stand next to the western
end of the recumbent.
