The magnificent restored recumbent and flankers viewed
from inside the circle.
It is worth comparing this fine view with the ruinous state of these
stones on our previous visit.
Tomnaverie is unusual in that its recumbent is situated further west than any
other recumbent stone circle.
With an azimuth of 235.5 degrees viewed from the circle centre it was probably
designed with the extreme
of the minor moonset at 233 degrees in mind (note off-centre hump on recumbent).
