Looking WSW into the chamber entrance.
Note the two semicircular perforations in the top edge of the front closure
stone. This stone was once larger, as can be seen from
the tall section
remaining on the right of the photo, it is estimated to have been about 2m high
originally, completely sealing the
entrance. When intact, the two perforations
were probably circular "portholes" through which the interior could
observed.
