Mnajdra - Temple 2

The southern outer apse, walling and niche.

The three inner walling slabs of this apse are on the right with decorated inter-apse doorway just out of shot.
Note hoe the top of the centre slab has been dressed to accommodate a corbel stone that has been used to
level up the height of the small eastern slab.
The capstone of the surviving niche (centre left), is supported on either side by pillar stones and further
stabilised by a flanking upright on the right and the inner upright of the temple entrance on the left.
The blockwork support in the niche itself is modern and supports the restored capstone where it had broken
 into two pieces.
