Logan (1) reports that the circle stones are "not in general very deeply planted in the ground" which may explain
why so many have fallen (or been "pushed"). Certainly the the similarly fallen eastern flanker, a mere 2m long,
 could not have been very deeply seated if it was to bear any resemblance to its 2.25m tall western companion.
