Balquhain

The fallen eastern flanker.

A 2m long flat slab of grey whinstone, this stone could not be more different to the still-erect western flanker.
This stone has four cup marks on its upper face, Coles (2) thought that this face was against the end of the
recumbent when the stone was erect, we doubt this as it is likely that the cup marked area would have been
covered by the end of the recumbent.
