Bryn Celli Ddu

The reconstructed mound has been interrupted at the back of the chamber exposing the two rear chamber slabs and part of a capstone. The sunken area was at the centre of the stone circle that once stood on the henge, and it was here that a "ritual pit" was discovered along with a buried decorated stone. The stone standing here today is a replica of the original.
